INGREDIANTS:

250 gms Millet flour

250 gms Barley flour

250 gms. Sorghum flour

Oil, salt, asafoetida, cumin, pepper powder, water.

METHOD:

Mix all the above ingredients’ together and using water kneed the same. After 15/20 minutes make small balls and roll them as thin as possible (like chapattis).  Half cook them on the tava. After all are roasted and crisp apply ghee. These have a shelf life of one month.

KHAKRA (CRISPY FLAT BREAD) CHEVDA (BOMBAY MIX)

For the Chevda, crush the required quantity of khakras lightly with hands. Heat oil in a Kadhai, add cut green chillies, sesame seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, turmeric, salt, groundnuts and powdered sugar.

BENEFITS:

The combination of the above 3 flour is very economical and tasty. Has a long shelf life and healthy for kids and all. Ragi has calcium, Jav and Juvar has Fiber which is very essential for the body. The chevda can be made in very less oil and hence a low calorie diet.
