Schedule of 20th shodhyatra


                            
                           20th Shodhyatra-WB Final Schedule
As an experiment, this time the 20th Shodh Yatra shall start from three different regions and culminate at one place (Bhagabandh) on 5th day. Bhagabandh in West Bengal can be called a ‘Triveni’ of three routes from where the yatra will proceed further. Shodh Yatra will cover two districts (Purulia and Bankura)in West Bengal and one district (Patamda) in Jharkhand. The three routes are :
Route 1 : Baghmundi to Bhagabandh
Route 2 : Adra (Jaichandi Hills), Raghunathpur to Bhagabandh
Route 3 : Patamda to Bhagabandh
From Bhagabandh, the yatris from above three routes will proceed to Basudha, Binodbati route.
Anybody can join shodh yatra any time, any day during the period from December 25, 2007 to January 2, 2008

Reaching Bagmundi,Purulia:

From North India:
There are 3-4 trains from New Delhi to Muri Station (border of
Jharkhand/West Bengal)
Bagmundi is 60-70 Kms from Muri Station,you can take a cab or inform us earlier we will arrange a rented car.
From South/West India: There are several trains to Tatanagar(Jamshedpur) from South cities. You can take a Bus/Cab from Jamshedpur to Bagmundi(around 70-80 Kms). Same for Purulia Station(65 Kms far from Bagmundi) Bus/Cab.
Via Kolkata:Best option: Howrah(Kolkata)-Chakradharpur Pass (315).

Reaching Adra(Jaichandi Hill),Purulia:
From North India:
There are 3-4 trains from New Delhi to Adra Station.
Jaichandi Hill is 7 Kms from Adra Station,you can take a cab/bus.
From South/West India:
There are few trains to Adra from South cities. But there are several trains to Kharagpur. You can come by Train/cab from Kharagpur to Adra(around 160 kms),but best option will be train.
Via Kolkata:
Best option: Howrah(Kolkata)-Chakradharpur Pass (315).
Dep:Howrah(11.05 pm)- Arrival:Adra 5 am ,Adra is 7 Kms far from
Jaichandi Hill.
Howrah(Kolkata)-Hatia Exp Dep: Howrah 10 pm Arr: Muri: 5 am
