1. Scientist - Agricultural Microbiology
A motivated and research-oriented Scientist with expertise in microbiology, biotechnology, and agricultural applications is sought to lead laboratory and field-based research activities focused on microbial technologies for sustainable agriculture. The ideal candidate should possess experience in developing and validating microbial products, conducting scientific investigations, and contributing to research and innovation initiatives. The candidate should be capable of working independently and supporting product development, field validation, and technology evaluation programs aimed at advancing sustainable agricultural solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently plan, design, and conduct laboratory research experiments.
- Isolate, characterize, preserve, and maintain beneficial microbial cultures.
- Develop, optimize, and validate microbial products and technologies for sustainable agriculture.
- Design, implement, and monitor greenhouse and field trials to evaluate product performance.
- Analyze experimental data and interpret research findings.
- Prepare technical reports, research documentation, and scientific communications.
- Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory records, microbial culture collections, and research databases.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support product development and technology transfer.
- Identify emerging research opportunities and contribute to the growth of future research and innovation activities.
Essential Qualifications
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Agricultural Microbiology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience in microbial culture isolation, characterization, maintenance, and laboratory research.
- Strong knowledge of experimental design, data analysis, and scientific reporting.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage research activities effectively.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in biofertilizers, biocontrol agents, Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR), composting microbes, or related microbial technologies.
- Knowledge of sustainable agriculture and microbial-based crop production technologies.

2. Business Development Manager
A postgraduate in management with 2-3 years of experience in business planning, market research, fundraising, and startup incubation is an ideal candidate. Preference will be given to candidates with an undergraduate degree in agriculture or allied sciences. The candidate should be willing to support incubatees by connecting them with R&D centres and exploring new market opportunities. Strong proficiency in English writing for preparing incubator profiles, reports, and related documentation, along with willingness to undertake field work as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Identification of potential incubatees for SRISTI-BioNEST.
- Development of business strategies for the growth and market expansion of SRISTI products.
- Identification of new business opportunities aligned with the objectives of SRISTI and SRISTI Innovations.
- Promotion of collaborations with industries, organizations, and start-ups.
- Preparation of incubator profiles, reports, and related documentation in English.
- Undertaking field visits as required to support incubation activities and stakeholder engagement.
