SEVA
has partnered with SRISTI (Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable
Technologies and Institutions) <http://www.sristi.org>
for creating the Honey Bee Regional Network in Tamil Nadu,
<http://www.honeybee.org>. The network has grown over
last 14 year and has become one of the major nodes. Tamil Nadu node
has been
connected with the Honey Bee Electronic network in the first phase
of implementation of the KnowNet-Grin project.
SEVA joined hands with Impact
Partners
for
augmenting grassroots innovations in South India.
SEVA is helping NIF (National Innovation
Foundation) <http://www.nifindia.org> in scouting
unaided grassroots technological innovations.
GTZ small Grants Programme, New
Delhi, has been supporting SEVA for empowerment of Pastorlist
communities involved in conservation of indigenous animal breeds. Women
Development Corporation, Government of Tamil Nadu, has been collaborating
with SEVA for empowerment of resource poor women in Sedapatti Block,
Madurai District. CAPART,
Hyderabad, it has supported SEVA for organising Paravet training
programme for 100 unemployed rural youth. It has also supported
orgamising two days workshop on indigenous knowledge and innovations
based sustainable technologies during April 2002. TePP (Techno
Entrepreneurs Promotion Programme) of Dept. of Science and
Technology, Govt. of India, has provided support for testing and
design improvement of prototypes of various innovative implements,
developed by grassroots innovators.
