Second International Competition

for Scouting Grassroots Innovations in

Survival Technologies, Institutions and Education 2001

Co-sponsored by UNESCO, New Delhi

The Contest

Any body who has come across some innovations attempted by farmers, artisans, fishermen and women, slum dwellers, workshop mechanics, primary or secondary school teachers, local communities in managing natural resources, biodiversity, developing new farm implements, herbal pesticides, curing diseases, building houses, reviving culture, enrolling children or improving primary educational performance, or any other field of human knowledge, survival and livelihood can participate.

The Award

The award winning entries will be published in Honey Bee Newsletter, included in Knowledge Network on Sustainable Technologies and Institutions, Multi-media multi-language data base on Grassroots Innovations keeping intellectual property rights of innovators intact and the awardees will be invited to Honey Bee Network meeting in India in February, 2001.

How to participate?

You may send as many entries as possible on plain paper providing genesis of innovation, background of innovation / innovator/s, origin of idea, accompanied by photographs and/or videos if possible, and any other information that may help in replicating innovation/s if found suitable by communities or individuals globally.
