The Indian village scene is full of surprises and talent. Apart from the basic occupation of farming, the Indian villagers, being talented individuals have innovated their own village art, which have very distinctive and special village culture in them. The art of every village is distinctive and this shows in the various paintings by these people.

OUR PURPOSE-

This portal aims at providing a platform to unknown folk artists and street performers.We aim to help them get recognition and thereby help in their upliftment socially and economically.Also it aims at preserving the rich cultural heritage visible in their skills from extinction and obscurity.

OUR MISSION-

Let all of us become volunteers/artist scouts and capture photos and videos of such people and post it on this site with their contact details.

This venture,an initiative of SRISTI began under the guidance of its architect,a visionary,Prof. Anil K Gupta of IIM Ahmedabad as the summer project of students of SVNIT and is at present moderated by Ms.Arpita Kapoor for supporting the street artists economically by generating employment for them.

This is just the beginning of the journey.This would be a fruitless endeavor without the support from our people, that is you all and the artists community.We request you all to capture such talented but unknown folk artists and street performers in your videos and photos with their contact details and put them on this site so that they get recognized and thereby get uplifted socially and economically.
