We stayed at the Panchayat hall at Poattangi. We went to gangamata temple where the sodhyatra was inaugurated by Prof. anil Gupta. The mebers present were President, tribal museum and BdO. It was attended by traditional knowledge holders from various states in India. The objective was discussed by Dr Balram Sahu, Sri Vivekananda, and Sri Krushna Chandra Panigrahi. We understood that it is

* to recognise the traditional knowledge holders of the region
* to organise cooking competition amongst women and recognise the best cooking hand
* to exchange traditional knowledge amongst various people

NIF was described by Dr. Balram Sahu. It was organised for the first time in a backward region like Koraput, which is a matter of pride for Orissa. Mr. Krushna Chandra Panigrahi was enthusiastic about the whole affair and informed us to maintain a village knowledge register in his area.

Prof. Anil Gupta told that the way we are creating dams so as to prevent wastage and destruction of water, traditional knowledge should be treated in the same way.

After that Prof.respected Mrs.Parbati for her herbal treatment to different Womens health problems.

Also respected to Mr Bhagat ram belongs to Pottangi for her contribution towards freedom fighter.

Mr Chakradhara pradhan was respected for her contribution towards new grass root technology in the field of agriculture.

The child journalist are move from village to village & collected various knowledge from grassroot,spread them in a wider manner,due to this reasons they were also respected from NIF,SRISTI & HONEYBEE.
