Gram Vidyapeeths Augment the Innovation Drive
Gram Vidyapeeths have been a long time partner in Honey Bee Network and contributed substantially towards the expansion of the innovation database of the Network. Their participation in scouting and documentation activities has been repeatedly acknowledged by SRISTI and Honey Bee Network in various forums. Like every year, this year (2005-06) also, twenty one students from three Gram Vidyapeeths prepared their academic thesis within the broad interest domain of SRISTI. Previously, in the month of July a meeting was organised with the faculties from Gram Vidyapeeths. The meeting was chaired by Prof Vijaya Sherry Chand. In that meeting five broad areas of academic interest were worked out for the student’s dissertation. They are creativity among women, organic farming: status and prospect, milk production, traditional recipes and community property resources. The dissertations are being scrutinized and the best three dissertations will be felicitated during the Honey Bee Network meeting in December.
