The role of intellectual property management in knowledge economy in the present times has assumed appreciable importance. The emerging legal and statutory changes in IP laws have led the firms and research institutions to prepare themselves for the emerging global IP scenario.

The programme on HIPSCA has in the past called for those senior policy makers, institution leaders, researchers and managers of private and public sector firms, research and development organizations who are involved in creating, protecting or licensing intellectual property for competitive/collaborative advantage. While the Programme has been particularly useful for industries and institutions involved in agri-business, R&D, biotechnology, herbal and other drug sectors, with time, we have felt the need to reach out to our alumnus to help enrich our experiences in the sector.

The community is an effort towards reviving scopes for collaborations and networks for enhanced learning amongst our alumnus who have been part of the explorations made in the past.
