The 24th SY is being organised from December 29, 2009 to January 3, 2010 in the Dhemaji district of Assam. The shodhyatra will start from Dhemaji and conclude in Lakhimpur.
All the readers, their friends, and others interested in walking with us are welcome to join the 24th Shodhyatra in Assam. The idea is to learn from the wisdom of common people, their values, concerns and creativity. The cost of food and local travel is shared by all the participants @ Rs.200/- per day. Others, who are interested but not able to pay, may also join and then their cost will have to be shared by other participants.

(1) Registration: All will have to share lodging, boarding and transport expense equally. To register your name in advance. Registration fees will be accepted at the SRISTI Office in the form of Money order, At par Cheque, Demand Draft or cash. Advance registration is must and no one will be allowed later without advance enrolment. You can also register on

(2) Tour and temperature:
Participant must be in good health and able to walk 20 to 25 kms daily under cold conditions. So it is advisable to carry relevant items of need/use including Jacket & some woolen clothes, monkey cap, sunglass, water-bag, shoes etc. suitable for cold conditions.
