why does india ignore indian grassroots innovators despite all the talk of common man/women and her creativity?

we in NIF have been asked repeatedly questions about scaling up. These are legitimate questions and desrve to be asked. But should at the same time, one not ask as to how could National Innovation Foundation ( www.NIFindia.org) could scout thousands of innovations, ideas and traditional knowledge practices ( not all unique) in last nine years with its budget going down in real terms? If it were not for honey bee network\'s voluntary contribution, it would have been impossible to do so. Should NIFbe punished for being frugal and efficient? some Mandarins in the gvernment ( NOT DST of course which is a great supporter) think so. |

A debate has been triggered in the country about the need to have tenth board exam or not, or should we allow foreign universities and matters like these. But there is no discussion on those millions of children who do not reach tenth class at all. Is it by design that government does not want to address difficult issues in the first 100 days |
